About Me:

I have been a musician for over 35 years and have played professionally in several projects all over the United States and in China. Over the years, I have made major modifications and setups on my own equipment, built my own guitars as well as serviced the equipment for a select few other musicians, some of which are on tour nationally. Since I have opened my services to the public, I have received excellent reviews on the work I have done on their instruments and equipment (see Feedback below). I also have been a Pro Audio Technician for over 30 years and ran Front Of House and Monitor Mix for several major touring acts live and Houses of Worship. I worked for a major Pro Audio company in the Pittsburgh Area doing Pro Audio Tech work, Installations, and Training . I also have been Sound Engineer with a local "broadway" musical production group. Most recently I have been on tour with ApologetiX as Live Sound Engineer, Production Manager, Guitar Technician, and Recording Engineer. In addition, I am also the Touring Guitar / Keyboard Tech for the International Prog Artist(s) Neal Morse. I am also on Staff as Head of Audio Engineering Ministries for Butler Community Alliance Church. I possess an Associates Degree in Electronics from PTI and have worked as an Electronics Tech for over 28 years.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions about me or my services. I run my own business based on Honesty, Trust, Integrity, and Quality Workmanship! God Bless!
Finally, I want to say that My Business is Best Advertised by Word of Mouth, so Please Help Spread the Word to Anyone and Everyone that I am here and what I can do!!!

"I've been searching for someone as skilled and personable as Greg for YEARS! His work is outstanding and incredibly affordable. With Greg, you're not just a number. He takes the time to get to know you and your playing style. He brought out the best in my guitars, helping me to bring out the best in my playing! Highly, highly recommended!"

ATTENTION ALL GUITAR PLAYERS!!!!!!!!!!!! Tired of these hacks working on your guitar? Tired of picking up your guitar and thinking to yourself “all this person did was change my strings and polish my guitar!!” Well, it’s time to give Greg Spack a call. I’ve brought 2 guitars to him so far and they play better than ever. Greg will listen to you and give your guitar a professional/personalized set up/repair. I have lived in western PA for 11+ years now and have taken my guitars to all of the usual suspects getting the same disappointing results. To my guitar tech in NYC, this is no dis to you, but after letting Greg work on my guitars I’m afraid I’m leaving you. Sorry man. Greg just does it better.

I've had Greg set up and/or repair a few of my guitars and his work has been exceptional. Great work from a great guy, and at reasonable rates.

A quote from the ApologetiX newsletter:
Sound Trak III: The Search for Spack - March 14, 2012
This Friday, we'll celebrate the third anniversary of Greg Spack's first concert as our sound engineer. His first concert behind the board for us was March 15, 2009 in Du Bois PA. Before Greg came along, we were in desperate need of a qualified sound engineer who could tour regularly with us. We prayed together as a band about that, and he was running sound for us a week later!
Greg is an incredibly talented individual with a great heart for ministry. Not only does he run our sound and light systems, he coordinates our stage set-up, including load-in and load-out, and shares driving duties, since he has a commercial driver's license (CDL). But he is involved in much more than that behind the scenes. An electronics whiz, Greg is an accomplished guitarist, bassist and singer who has performed in a number of bands. He has also been known to fill in for us on occasion when needed. He even contributed background vocals to and assisted in the engineering of our CD's.
Greg is also the owner of Echelon Sound - Pro Audio Tech and Guitar Service. He's an outstanding guitar tech/mechanic, and we highly recommend him.
"One of the first things that impressed me about Greg was seeing his reaction as we watched 'The Passion of the Christ' on the band bus. The guy had tears streaming down his cheeks. "Of course, his musical and technical skills are absolutely vital to us. As I tell people at concerts, he's Spack-tech-ular! But you gotta have heart, and Greg has that in abundance."

I have had several opportunities to work with Greg Spack and have found him to be very knowledgeable and a good sound engineer. He is good with trouble shooting and making things happen which is critical in live sound reinforcement. He is also hard working and conscientious. Greg would be a good addition to anyones staff.
Thank you.

Re: Reference

My sons guitar had a "broken head" literally, so, the thought occurred to me that I should trust it into the hands of Greg Spack. Boy, am I glad I did! Greg looked over the problem, devised a plan in a few minutes, and after a few days we had our guitar back. I know my son was pleased to see His guitar so beautifully restored. I, and my family, would Highly Recommend Greg Spack and Echelon Sound to anyone with the need of instrument repair, sound system set-up or improvement, or just plan honest Kingdom serving counsel regarding the sound needs of a church or business.

Greg,
Thanks for your excellent work on my Ibanez acoustic! I think I actually like that guitar again! It's infinitely more playable than it ever was.
I'm going to let some of my friends know about your business and I'll be bringing my Taylor in for service within a month or so.
Take care, and thanks again!

I have had Greg fix and repair numerous pieces of equipment from wireless transmitters to mixing boards. He can and has custom built me any kind of cable configuration that fits my needs. I find his work to have a fast turn around, complete, and lastly affordable. I have consulted with Greg many times on various sound and electronic issues to gain knowledge and his opinion which I value greatly. I would recommend Greg to any one who needs a repair on electronic equipment or advice or even a tech to run sound for any live performance.

"Greg,Thanks for the great work on my three P-Basses. All three were set up fast & smooth and the intonation was spot on! The best work I've ever had done. It is even more of a pleasure to play them now that they have the Spack-touch! Spack is the man for all your Bass & Guitar needs. Greg has set up several of my basses and they all play & sound better than ever! Thanks GS"
Rock on!

My name is Tom Milnes.

I am hard on my guitars! When I am on the road they take a beating night after night. That is why Greg at *Guitars N'at* is such a blessing to me. Fixing tuning machines or adjusting intonation, whatever I need Greg is the man! I give him FIVE Picks, way up!! (that is a high rating from a guitarist).

Greg Spack is a very talented, experienced sound man and guitar tech whom all the guys in ApologetiX respect. We've had the pleasure of using his services many times and plan to do so many more times. He is reasonable and reliable and knows a lot about many types of music and many facets of music, being both a musician and a sound man. Also, because of his committed Christian faith, he brings integrity to any job he does. We highly recommend him.
